For all you gamers out there! Art Class & Wine Glass is now an official stop for Pokemon Go game! I’m not sure how that happened but there have been people stopping randomly outside our shop with a phone in hand and having FUN! It’s the newest thing…kids/adults finding physical locations according to a mobile app game. So we had fun with it too!
Is it true? Yup! Jesus did promote wine, I’m catholic, I know. Sometimes we can remind ourselves on a daily basis about Jesus. So I decided to make some fun glasses. I won’t go into the exact etching instructions but you’ll catch on when I do a step-by-step tutorial in a few weeks if enough people request it.
Our little art studio not only does classes for kids and adults here, but we also travel to offsite events quite often. We began teaching at a second nursing home just a few months ago. This particular senior home caters to residents with memory problems, dementia and Alzheimers disease. Just the other day, I was kidding around with a customer in my studio about how we paint on anything. I told her that we paint on anything that doesn’t move! Sad but true. I have tried painting on many items such as how to paint on ceramics, shoes, glass, etc…–sometimes it doesn’t turn out well and sometimes it turns out awesome! A neighbor of mine just had a baby and I felt maybe another baby blanket or onesie was too impersonal. So being in the crafty mood (that I’m always in), I decided to make a personalized gift!
